25 Mesmeric Krishna Jayanthi Rangoli Designs for Janmashtami Festival
India is known as a land of festivals, and Janmashtami is one of them. It marks the day Lord Krishna was born. Krishna Jayanthi is celebrated with great joy and spirituality throughout India. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu was reincarnated as Lord Krishna, and the day is observed according to the Hindu lunar calendar. Besides being a land of festivals, India is also known for making rangoli during celebrations, an auspicious part of most Indian festivals. A vessel filled with curd is hung up, and people form human pyramids to reach and break it. The entire house is made festive with rangoli designs, lights, and fragrant flowers decorating the doorways. The main entrance is decorated with bright lamps, festive lights, and traditional rangoli motifs to welcome the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity. To signify her long-awaited arrival, small footprints are drawn with rice flour and vermilion powder throughout the houses as part of the rangoli designs for Krishna Jayanthi.
